Welcome To Fi Steps
Fi Steps started in 1991 by Fiona Whyte. The group was set up to create opportunities for youngsters to perform on stage. Fi Steps was established with just sixteen members. It now boasts over 170 students over 2 schools with ages ranging from 8 to 25 years. The school has grown dramatically in the last few years and has had some fantastic opportunities to perform in many prestigious venues. Fi Steps are also active in their local community, performing regularly at The Hawth Theatre, Crawley and also The Capitol Theatre, Horsham.
The millennium has seen some impressive performances, with the team appearing at Sadlers Wells, Theatre Royal in Drury Lane, Birmingham NEC, Haymarket Theatre in Basingstoke, Merlin Theatre in Sheffield, Hawth Theatre, Horshams Capitol Theatre, Her Majesty's, The London Palladium and The Royal Albert Hall as well as two appearances with Think Floyd. 2008 proved very exciting with Fi Steps first performance at Disneyland, Paris.
Individual members have also taken part in national road shows, local professional touring productions, professional pantomimes, films and television commercials as well as full time dance colleges.
It is my intention that during the next few years, Fi Steps will become a more elite team and will move towards yet more exciting and challenging ventures and will provide those who are dedicated the right opportunities to start their careers in this wonderful world we call 'Show business'
